Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Water Act 2003)

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006 that an application has been made to Natural Resources Wales by Hochtief (UK) Construction Limited to vary a full licence to abstract water, serial number WA/065/0006/0023, which authorises the abstraction of water from an underground strata within the area formed by straight lines running between National Grid References SH 59377 38672, SH 59439 38703, SH 59380 38665 and SH 59443 38695. The variation applied for is to:

  • add a purpose of abstraction for concrete grout production at the following rates: 3.6 cubic metres per hour, 40 cubic metres per day and 8,000 cubic metres per year, until 01 December 2026,
  • change the quantities abstracted for the purpose of dewatering to: 21.82 cubic metres per hour, 570 cubic metres per day and 214,650 cubic metres per year,
  • remove discharge Point R and change discharge Point Q to SH 58891 38978; and
  • change monitoring points: Point A to SH 59359 38617, Point B to SH 59395 38762 and Point C to SH 59440 38659.
