Nant Conwy Rugby Football Club - Abstraction and Impoundment

Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Water Act 2003)

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006 that an application has been made to Natural Resources Wales by Nant Conwy Rugby Football Club Cyf for a full licence to abstract water from the Nant Llyn Glan Gors at National Grid Reference SH 78255 61608 near Llanrhychwyn, Llanrwst, Conwy. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates and periods for use in hydroelectric power production: 243.36 cubic metres an hour, 5,840.64 cubic metres a day and 2,131,833.6 cubic metres a year, all year. 

Application is also being made for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of the Nant Llyn Glan Gors at National Grid Reference SH 78255 61608 at the above location. The impoundment is a new weir to control the abstraction.
