The role

As a Recruitment and Resourcing Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality recruitment service that directly supports the operational needs of Natural Resources Wales (NRW). You will provide expert advice and guidance to hiring managers and colleagues across the organisation, ensuring the consistent and effective application of recruitment and resourcing policies.

Acting as a trusted partner, you will ensure effective delivery of NRW’s recruitment process, from defining role requirements and advertising, to selection and onboarding, while promoting best practice, fairness and inclusivity at every step. You will also contribute to continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and candidate experience.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider People and Organisational Development function, you will help ensure NRW recruits the right people, at the right time, with the right skills to support our long-term goals and the delivery of our 2030 vision: Nature and People Thriving Together.

As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the nearest NRW office to your home and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.

What you will do

  • As a HR People Services Team Member, the post holder will carry out a range of specific technical and administrative duties which could include: 
    - Recruitment procedures and dealing with general recruitment queries.
    - Drafting change to terms and conditions.
  • Developing and Providing management information and analysis.
  • Maintaining the team’s recruitment documentation, ensuring data is inputted correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Assisting the Recruitment Supervisor with the onboarding process of successful candidates, including preparing, verifying and storing documents in line with GDPR and NRW’s vetting process.
  • Providing an excellent customer experience and service for the hiring team and candidates.  
  • Ensuring that all job adverts comply with NRW’s Welsh Language Policy.  
  • Ensuring that the hiring team comply with NRW’s recruitment policy and procedure.  
  • Maintaining accurate records and meticulous attention to detail in Excel and SharePoint, ensuring that recruitment processes can be tracked and audited.
  • Supporting the Recruitment Advisor to prepare internal and external recruitment campaigns, this includes liaising with the translation team and uploading content for approval across NRW’s intranet and website.  
  • Undertake health and safety duties and responsibilities appropriate to the post

  • Any other reasonable duties requested commensurate with the grade of this role.

Your qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills

In your application and interview you will be asked to demonstrate the following skills and experience using the STAR method.

Experience of working within a shared service centre environment to include:

  1. Good understanding of using a HR system and other software/applications to meet the requirements of your area of responsibility.
  2. Good organisational skills.
  3. Good written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate confidently, with excellent customer service skills.
  4. Good inter-personal skills with the ability to work under pressure using your own. initiative in order to meet tight deadlines.
  5. Strong IT and accurate data entry skills.
  6. Experience of implementing change or process improvement would also be advantageous.

Welsh language level requirements

  • Essential: Level B2 - Upper intermediate level (able to discuss work matters)
