Work to manage rivers in a sustainable way

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has appointed a new head of land stewardship who will oversee and help develop its estate.

Our rivers and lakes have shaped our landscape, from Upland lakes such as Llyn Idwal and our large rivers like the Wye.

Routine maintenance activities typically take place annually, subject to economic justification. Our programme is agreed after consultation with our own fisheries, recreation and biodiversity teams.
