Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Water Act 2003)

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006 that an application has been made to Natural Resources Wales by Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Limited for a full licence to abstract water from an underground strata within the area formed by straight lines between National Grid References SH 58619 72897, SH 58640 72886, SH 58643 72865, SH 58654 72863, SH 58716 72803, SH 58725 72781, SH 58674 72739, SH 58580 72831, SH 58581 72854, SH 58596 72845, SH 58628 72868 and SH 58613 72891 at King George V Playing Field, Beach Road, Hirael, Bangor.  The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates and periods for the purpose of dewatering for construction work: 8.33 cubic metres an hour, 200 cubic metres a day and 73,000 cubic metres a year, for a period of 10 months.
