Our coasts and seas

Following the Marine Area Statement launch earlier this year, we are hosting a national marine online event 13th and 14th January 2021.

The event will bring together partners and stakeholders with an interest in Wales’ marine and coastal environment. It will provide a platform for collaboration, networking and information sharing at a local and regional scale, with the aim of exploring and developing ideas for projects, which may be taken forward.

We hope the event will help us all work together, to identify and develop practical projects to address the priorities and opportunities for Welsh coasts and seas.

Registration is now open for a limited time. Visit the Our Coast and Seas website for more information and to sign up.

We welcome your input to this event and would love to hear what you have been doing recently, and what you hope to do in the future, via recorded presentations which you can submit prior to the event. See the registration page for more details.

There will be opportunities to network and discuss local and regional opportunities, as well as relevant issues facing the marine and coastal environments of Wales now such as coastal adaptation, water quality, renewable energy, restoration and biodiversity and communities, well-being and Covid-19. Plenary sessions include a selection of presentations showcasing funding opportunities in Wales and stories and examples of collaboration and co-development, with opportunities for Q&A with relevant panel members throughout.

We encourage you to circulate this invitation among your colleagues, partners and networks.
