Community Flood Volunteers Wales
Our Community Engagement and Resilience team works with communities at risk of flooding across Wales.
LIFE Natura 2000 Programme
Wales has 20 Special Protection Areas for vulnerable birds and 92 Special Areas of Conservation for other rare species and threatened natural habitats. Together they are known as Natura 2000, and along with areas across Europe, they form an unparalleled network of international importance for nature conservation.
The Come Outside! project works with 12 of the most socially deprived areas of Wales to encourage local people to become more active by using green space nearby.
If you follow @NatResWales on Twitter, our Twitter Alerts will appear with an orange bell symbol within your timeline.
We use Twitter Alerts to send critical warning information to our customers via Twitter. Examples of when we use Twitter Alerts to share warnings include:
- imminent flooding to property (severe flood warning issued)
- pollution which presents a risk to the public
- a failure of waterways structure which presents a hazard to the public or property
You can also sign up to receive our Twitter Alerts via text message and push notifications to your mobile phone or tablet.
We will try to send the most critical flood warning information via Twitter Alerts, but the best way to receive notifications of flood warnings for your local area is to sign up to our Floodline Warnings Direct service.
